"Library Research Made Easy" workshop on 4/2/14 at 2:30pm

On Wed, April 2 at 2:30, the Library is offering a free 1 hr. workshop. If you have a paper to write, save yourself some grief by learning a few tips on finding credible resources. You'll impress your instructors. You don't need to register, just show up in the Library Instruction Lab (70-267) this Wednesday at 2:30pm.

Get Help Filling Out FAFSA

Grossmont College Financial Aid Department is helping students with their FAFSA applications. Thurs., Feb 27 there’s a FAFSA workshop from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Tech Mall, room 70-103. Students can also get assistance by using the computers in the Student Services and Administration building to complete their FAFSA. It's important to fill out FAFSA applications before March. 2.

Affordable Health Insurance with Covered Callifornia: Student Health Services Can Help You Apply

33 days left to sign up for health insurance through Covered California. Starting in March, Grossmont College Student Health Services can provide information and help you apply. Between 8:30-1 on Mondays go to Griffin Center West Entrance. Between 9-11 on Tuesdays go to Health Services Room 60-130.

Google Scholar

Do you like using Google Scholar? You can set up Google Scholar so that it will search the Grossmont Library Databases for scholarly articles. Woo-hoo! Here is how: First, you'll need to set-up your preferences. Go to Google Scholar. Click the Settings button Gear icon (upper-right) and then Library Links (left-side). Type Grossmont College into the search box and click Find Library. Check the Grossmont College Library - Get It! @ Grossmont box. Save your Scholar Preferences. Textbook Reserves

Got textbooks? Check out the library's Textbook Reserves to see if we have a textbook that you need. If you don't find it on our shelves, you can request that we buy it. Go to the Reference Desk and fill out a Textbook Request form. We'll take requests over the next 7 days, until February 5. Then we'll go out and buy all the requested textbooks we can until our funds run out!
