YouTube/Education: A great source of educational videos

If a picture is worth a thousand words...how much are 450,000 YouTube educational videos worth? Check out http://www.youtube.com/education for a little extra help understanding your course materials. And be sure to take a look at YouTube's Khan Academy if you're taking a math, physics or chemistry class. Khan Academy contains 3000+ videos--explaining everything from basic arithmetic to calculus and more--and is visited by a million students a month.

Use a library computer to hop on the Internet and watch one of the YouTube/Education videos. The library is here to help you succeed in college!

51 New eReference Books added to Credo This Week

Everyone knows that libraries contain encyclopedias and other reference books--rows upon rows of them. But did you know that Grossmont Library has two wonderful databases called Credo Reference and Gale Virtual Reference Library that contain digitized versions of print encylopedias and reference books? They are a snap to search and easy to read right from your own computer.
